Favorites: Take a Moment

   Take a moment and breathe.

I’ve always considered myself a happy person, happy with the little things and grateful for the huge things. For this entry, I just wanted breathe in everything that has made me happy. Shows, movies, people… the little things and whatnot. With our hectic day to day life stuff, sometimes we forget how great those things are. Life changes all the time and I don’t want to take anything for granted.

Yoga with my friend Katie has been so great. Even though we haven’t gone every day, the days we do go are just lovely. And I feel great after class. I look forward to making it a part of my weekend routine class wise, as well as getting into the habit of doing it at home as well.

Jay and Miles X-Plain the X-Menthis podcast has been so great to listen to. I grew up loving Marvel cartoons and characters. I didn’t really read the comics, but it was always something I wanted to get into. Still on my list! But listening to this podcast has been so interesting. Which brings me to my next item.

Legion the tv show. I never knew about Xavier’s son or any kid for that matter. I just focused on the characters from the 90’s cartoon…Rogue being my favorite. It made me want discover more about the characters I know and don’t know.  Which also means getting more into the comics. So yay Marvel!!!

Paper Mate Ink Joy Gel Pens make me smile. I love buying new pens and for me I can never have enough of them. I personally prefer marker fine tipped pens. However, I went out to eat one day with Matt and I went to sign the check and they had one of these pens and it was just so smooth.

Crocheting has been on my list to tackle for quite some time. I’m much more comfortable with knitting and I figured I’d be able to pick up crochet as quickly as I picked up knitting. That did not happen. But lately, I’ve been able to make a few simple things because there have been some projects I want to attempt. News on that later. 🙂 I’ve been enjoying it though.

And of course….

Matt. I  love how easily he became a part of my life.  I wouldn’t say I’m too complicated, but with my fiery moods yet timid demeanor it might be hard to keep up with sometimes…especially when hangry. However, Matt has the perfect temperament when it comes to dealing with my not-so-perfect one. It’s great to find the things you have in common with your significant other, doing things you both love creates a bond that just furthers your relationship. But I also think it’s the differences that furthers your relationship and tests it. Matt is a very much go-with-the-flow type of person, which actually works well with my snarky attitude. It’s not as though I fly off the handle over everything, but I do get a bit peeved fairly easily. But we are both human and misunderstandings happen. As long as we can always voice why we we are upset, his ability to actively listen is great. He helps me see the voice of reason, so I appreciate that so much….even if it takes a bit longer for me to appreciate it in the moment. :/

I can’t stop swooning over him in general but this photo is just too cute.?

What has you swooning? I’d love to hear about it. Until next time…

Thanks for reading

    That is such a cute photo 🙂 I have to admit, Matt did come into your life pretty easily and more easily than I’ve seen in the relationships of other people. But you spent time looking for someone you wanted to be with, and I am happy you found that someone. When you have a real connection with someone, it just so happens that they come into your life pretty quickly and you welcome them with open arms. 🙂 I have seen you very happy since you’ve been with Matt, and that is wonderful to see!

    I think Nick makes me swoon every day, haha 🙂 I feel like I fall in love with him more and more each day.

    I have to admit that I don’t like marker pens as much as the gel pens, because they aren’t too good when they start to get blunt… but gosh, I love gel pens even though I avoid buying them because I know I will hardly use them ?

    @Georgie, Thank you!
    And you’re so right, it almost happened as if by magic. I’m so grateful to have found someone like him. He adds to my happiness.
    I’m glad Nick adds to yours too. Swooning is nice. 🙂

    That is true, marker pens can dull pretty quickly. However, these new gel pens are pretty great, they are smooth and they don’t smear. I hate gel pens for that reason. I buy too many pens. XD

    I love X-Men. I’ve read quite a few X-Men comics and I love all of the films. Rogue is my favourite! I really want to see Legion, but I’m going to have to wait for the DVD release because I don’t have the channel it’s on, unfortunately. It looks so good though!

    Crocheting sounds fun. I never make enough time for crafty things, which is a shame as I really enjoy them. Good luck continuing with it!

    My favourite thing this month is the Iron Fist TV series. It’s so good!

    @Amy, X-Men is great!
    And I really enjoyed Legion, however, this is my introduction to the character so I’m not sure how it holds up against the comics. But with that in mind, there are many universes within Marvel so I guess it can be forgiven.

    I hope you get to see it soon! I’ve been meaning to watch Iron Fist, I have to get to it eventually. XD
