Planner Addict

a5

This may shock/bore you, if you are not interested in stationery, planners, or paper items in general. A new craft store opened up in Houston last summer. Needless to say, my sisters and I went a little crazy.

The planner craze is still going strong and  I’m obsessed. I love to see how it is constantly changing. I’m going to share the things I bought from that lovely shop and then I’d like to talk about some items I’d like to purchase this year to add to my planner/stationery obsession.

First up:

I love minty items. I can’t seem to get enough of them, I made the video above a while back but it still gives you an idea about how they look. There are pros and cons to everything but for the most part I love these items and will do an updated flipthrough soon so if you’re interested in seeing that, let me know.

Now on to the items I’d like to purchase

Michael’s has this typewriter by typecast and I’m sooooo tempted to buy one. I know, it might seem like a waste of money to you but to a stationery addict like me! I’d love owning one. I scrapbook as well as make cards and this would come in handy. My printer and I don’t always see eye to eye. It’s something I’m still considering so nothing has been decided yet. I’m still browsing the web and watching reviews on Youtube. It is 200 bucks, quite a bit to spend. Moving on…

  • Portable Photo Printer

I’ve been wanting a small photo printer to print out my photos. I know, probably something else that could be considered a waste of money. But I’ve been wanting one. I keep looking at different brands, there’s the LG, HP, Polaroid, something Zip? So many different kinds and I can’t seem to pick one I want to save up for. I’ve been wanting to have hardcopies of photos and again, my printer doesn’t always work the way I want it to. I figured a portable printer might work out better. Any thoughts?

  • New Digital Camera

This would be the most expensive. I don’t need it to be sooo fancy, since I’m still learning about photography, but I’d like to invest in a good camera and continue learning. Plus, I’d like to up my vlogging game with some new gear. This is also something I have no clue what kind I’d like. I’ve been researching but nothing concrete yet. If you have any tips or suggestions, I’m all ears. I don’t have a budget yet on the camera, I figured once I picked out the camera I wanted then I’d know what my aim is and then just start saving for it.

  • New laptop

Like the camera, I would like to up my gear…including the laptop I would use to edit the video. I don’t need it to be topnotch, but I would like it to handle a bit of gaming and then my amateur editing skills. My current laptop is an HP and it can’t handle certain programs. I would love for it to be a mint color! I’ve always wanted a green or mint computer/laptop. That might be asking for too much, but it’s just something I’d like.

The smaller items I get fairly often but when it comes to the larger products, I tend to really put some thought into it before just going out and buying it. Do you usually weigh your options before buying a larger item, or do you just go for it? I’d love to hear your stories.

Thanks for stopping by and reading.

I’d LOVE a little portable printer for my photos too! I’ve been looking at that HP Sprocket thing, may add it to the birthday list 🙂 x

@Josie S, Right?! I’ve heard about about that one. I might have to buy online, I believe they are always sold out in stores. XD I’m still looking around, I’ll probably add it to my bday list too.

@Mija, Right?! I think it would be great to have one. I hate having to mess around with my large printer. It hates me sometimes.

And it’s soooooo cute. But $200 is a lot, so I’ll have to consider that some more. Maybe I can use a coupon?!!! XD

I love this post! I love anything stationery. My boyfriend and I spent a long time just looking through things in a stationery shop and my heart was so happy. I’m a planner user and I still opt to have the physical one rather than using any application available in the playstore. Plus, it’s also good in improving my penmanship and the ability to remember more of the things I need to finish.

I also want to have a typewriter and the typewriter you like is such a cutie. I also like anything mint but I couldn’t find anything mint in our place. 🙁

Saving for a camera is on my list since I already bought a laptop for myself last year and I feel like through saving, I could also have my camera soon. But yeah, I do want to invest in a camera which is good especially I want to go back to photography. 🙂

    @Augustin Ra,
I love stationery stores! I used to work in one before getting my full time position at the museum, but I still visit every once in awhile.

I also keep a physical planner, I just like filling them out. >.

I’ve never been good at keeping a planner. I always get bored and don’t update it after awhile. Oh well ?

I have a digital camera somewhere, though I can’t remember if it’s at my apartment at school or my house. Hopefully I find it.

@Cassidy, Sometimes I might get a bit behind, but then I like catching up with it. I sometimes just carry a notebook and keep a daily planner. Then transfer the larger things to my actual planner. It’s a process for me. I love it! XD

I hope you can find your camera. I have a samsung one but hope to upgrade this summer. I just have to find a camera I like and one that isn’t too pricey.

    Thanks for reading!

I deliberate over the big and small items! The big items for obvious reasons. The small items because, well, I have so much stationary already and I really don’t need more, but stationary just gets prettier and prettier and I can’t help myself! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

@Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s, I have a lot too! And I’m constantly finding more items that I want. >.< So pretty! I can't help myself.

I’m all about mint colored things, too! Plus I have a serious love for planners/cute stationary, so this post is perfect. Having a portable photo printer would be fun!

@Kathryn, Planners are so dangerous! Especially when they come in pretty mint colors.

I’ve been wanting to print hard copies of my photos, my larger printer just gets mad at me ALL the time. I just need to figure out which portable printer I want.

    Thanks for reading.

I got my sister a portable printer for Christmas and she loves it! I don’t think it’s a waste of money at all, haha. I forget which one I got her though.

I love all the mint items! You should consider a MacBook! I’m pretty sure they have covers for the laptop that are mint colored. And although they’re expensive, they’re worth the money since they’re so nice.

@Rezina, I’m definitely going to get one. If I can find one in mint, then that would be great!

I always thought Mac was cute and would be more beneficial when it comes to editing videos. I just don’t think I have the budget for it, plus, I’ve always been a PC person. A mac would probably last me longer though. XD

I have a serious problem with buying too many mint items. XD

I have the LG small photo printer. It’s a lot cheaper compared Fujifilm. The prints are okay at first, but it fades out after a few months. 🙁

    @Richel V., That’s a bummer.
Yeah, I keep looking at the reviews, but I’m still not sure which one I should get so it remains on the list of things I want to buy. XD

I try to always think about my purchases and decide whether they are really usable or not and if I will be getting my money’s worth. I wasn’t always like this, as I used to make a lot of rash decisions when buying anything. Especially stationery, as it can be easy to get addicted, haha (as I am sure you are aware).

I used to own a planner, I feel like they were really popular about 15 years ago. There was a cute Korean stationery store that was popular and they had these awesome planners you could refill and choose page types to go with. It’s definitely stepped up and become more popular since then.
