~Challenge~ 30 Days of Yoga Update: Day 12

Here we are at Day 12.

I skipped yesterday for a game night at my friend’s, but I did go Sunday…after skipping a few days before that. >.< I’ve been feeling tired. But today I’m going to do my best to go, it’s at 7:30 tonight, but it has my favorite instructor so I want to make an effort here. I just enjoy how she does the class and she’s been the most friendly out of all the instructors. On Sunday I had the first male instructed class. I didn’t like the way he did it though. I felt awkward and I felt like he was disappointed in you when you didn’t do the stretches as long as he did.

He also would come up behind you and fix your poses, which is helpful but he does it without warning and it’s sort of painful. He forces you into a pose rather than working and forgiving your body for not being able to maintain or even do it to begin with. I wasn’t a fan. Tonight’s class is at 7:30…I hate going to that late of a class but the instructor makes it worth it.

I can do it! Thanks for all your support and kind words,  I hope you’re doing well and will update you again soon.

Thanks for reading!

The instructor should be gentle when it comes to fixing your poses! Every person is different and has different strengths and limits. I hope you continue to attend the classes with the nicer instructor.

I go to the gym in the mornings usually, because I get pretty tired at night. In the morning I get it all out of the way ?

@Georgie, Right. He made it very uncomfortable for me. But its’ good for me to try out different instructors, I’m thinking I’ll go every Tuesday night after my 30 Days though. I’m not sure if I want to pay for a Membership yet. I still want to try and make doing yoga at home a thing I do too.

Wow, in the mornings? I wouldn’t have time to shower. It takes me a long time to blow dry my hair and straighten it, so I would definitely be late for work, otherwise, doing yoga in the morning would be a great way to start the day.

Aah that’s a fear I have with any exercise classes in general. I’m so self-conscious about being corrected and stuff! I’m superrrr inflexible so I would definitely not be okay with that haha. I did join a gym in January…I usually just do the treadmill, but they also offer classes that I haven’t taken any of yet haha.

@Melanei, I don’t like to be touched, but with yoga, I’ve accepted that I will need a lot of correcting. However, the way this instructor did it was just annoying and it hurt. I will not be taking any of his classes from now on. The studio I go to has an app and it shows the schedule and who will be leading the class. So far, I think Tuesdays are my days. 🙂 And I keep saying I’m going to try out a different type of yoga class but I have yet to take that dive. >.<

It’s so important to work with an instructor who’s a good fit! 🙂 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

@Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s, I agree, it makes the class much more enjoyable. 🙂

I hate going to late classes tbh. Anything past 5 in the afternoon is what I consider late. I do hope today is a better day 🙂

@Eena, Me too. If I had my way, I’d prefer going to a 9 am or 2 pm class. Work doesn’t allow that, and going to a 6 am class would make me late for work. So I have to make due with the classes they do have. 🙂
    Thanks, this class went well!
