~Monthly Moments: July~

Here’s July’s montage video, it took me awhile to clip something together,  I’m happy with how this one came out, I had a lot of clips this month. Mostly of Marco and Eve…my boyfriend’s cats, so I had to x a lot of the tiny stuff to make room for the great memories. Making these videos has been a complete joy, it doesn’t take very much effort. I mean, remembering to film a moment might be troublesome at times but it’s nice to look back on. I’ve been documenting my life in some way or another and I love how it continues to evolve.

August is going to be busy….

  • Miller Outdoor Theater- 8.9.17 (Date night)
  • Mixers – 8.11.17 (Work Event)
  • 2nd Saturday – 8.12.17 (Work Event)
  • Bullet Journal Workshop – 8.14.17
  • Catalysts – 8.17.17 (Work Event)

  • Senior Social – 8.23.17 (Work Event)
  • Hand lettering Workshop- 8.26.17

Even though this is another work crazy month, I’m still pretty happy with where I am in life. I hope your month is filled with good times. I’d love to hear about your July? Or is there anything your excited about happening this month?

Thanks for reading/watching.

~Monthly Moments: June~

I was late editing June’s video, but it was a slow month for me. I did go to Lockhart in the beginning of the month but unfortunately, I didn’t take ANY video clips! I thought I took at least one but it must have accidentally gotten erased. Oh well.

This lack of video pretty much sums up my month of June, lazy but still wonderful. I’ve been relaxing on the weekends and just spending time with family. Again, lovely. July should also be an easy month, which is fine by me, it gives me a chance to continue relaxing before the crazy month of August…can you believe how fast time is going by? I can’t. This

I’d love to hear about your June, even if it was as uneventful as mine. Now on to July….today is the 4th so Matt and I will probably try to find a place to watch fireworks…who knows.

Thanks for watching, see you next time!

~Book Haul: Comics~

Here’s a book haul for you! Let’s just say I couldn’t help myself when purchasing all of these over the last month or so. As usual, here’s my disclaimer, I’m still  learning how to edit so forgive me for the awkward narration. I recorded it separately from the video and I just finally had to use what I had. It was getting ridiculous.

I didn’t really go into too much detail about any of these, my bad. It was mostly about sharing the haul with you, but here are the links to each of the books I mentioned in the video. In case you were interested in reading them for yourself.

Thanks for watching.

~Monthly Moments: May~

Here’s another Monthly Moments video! I had a lot of editing this one…it sort of got choppy in the end, but for the most part, I really like it. These aren’t, by any means, fancy, but I enjoy filming/editing these tiny recaps of my months.

The two key things that happen in every video…1. Cats! Marco and Eve have appeared in every video so far and 2. A clip of my niece! XD I found that funny. I loved the clip of Matt and I laughing…I was trying to take a photo, but it ended up being a tiny clip instead, which was a fantastic moment to capture.  I wish I had recorded more of my time in Austin, but it was just easy to enjoy my time with my sisters and not really focus on pulling out my phone.  But I hope to do better at documenting my trips…hopefully.

Do you remember to take photos of everything you see during a trip, or do you just try to snap photos every now and then?

Thanks for reading and watching.

~Review: Traveler’s Notebook + Smart Fit Pencil Case~

I finally bought myself a real leather Traveler’s Notebook. I wanted a cheaper alternative rather than buying the more pricey and popular Midori…I believe it’s just Traveler’s Company now though. I purchased the Robrasim Pocket sized Traveler’s Notebook in the color coffee and it’s adorable.

I first purchased my Webster’s Pages Color Crush Traveler’s Notebook because it was a bit more affordable, and I really liked the pockets that the Color Crush offered. Bought it in the color mint, even though they have a ton of new colors lately, I’m happy with it. I decided I wanted a passport sized TN and so I searched through Youtube and then I searched through Amazon. I found Robrasim and decided to give them a chance. Aside from them taking awhile to ship it, it still arrived fairly quick, but I didn’t do too much research on the company.  I don’t think I’ll be using this for in depth journaling, but I’m excited to see how I end up using it. Below you’ll find a video review, I might go on for a tad too long, but believe me, it was even longer than that. I like to talk. 🙂 So if you’re interested, feel free to watch that below.

~Monthly Moments: March~

I’m starting this new thing where I film moments during the month and then just piece it together in a montage style vlog. I did not film enough during the month of March but I decided to make one with the shots I did take. It’s really short but I think it’s nice and a great way to look back on the month. I’ve started off strong in April so far, here’s hoping I can keep up with and make the videos the way I imagine them.

~Book Haul~ Jan. to Feb.

Here’s my belated Jan/Feb book haul, it has been in the works for awhile now and I finally had time to film it. I had the camera zoomed in way too close, I usually like to have the bookcase framed differently. I dunno, I was off. But like Audrey mentioned in her Spring Break entry, I too think videos add a little something extra to the blog.

Anywho, here’s a list of the books I mentioned in the video!

What books have you recently purchased? Can you read more than one book, switching between them? I’m curious to know your book buying rules as well.

Thanks for reading

~Plan with Me~ A Week in March

Hello!

Here’s just a little planner video I made for this week, I switched the order around for some things but for the most part I stayed true to it. I have this whole vision on how I wish  my videos could come out, but they never turn out that way. I still have a lot of fun with my amateur videos though. I don’t make as much time to film and edit though. I still want to upgrade my camera and laptop but those will have to wait.

In this video I just wanted to show my Ink Joy Gel pens and the watercolor ish markers I used to decorate my weekly spread. I used to use stamps and stickers but I’m loving these leafy vines! I’ve been doodling them ALL over this place. Washi is still an obsession with me, I just thought I’d keep it simple. I think I might go with this style of planning for awhile. I’ve also been using a notebook to sort-of-bullet-journal a daily spread. I’ve been using it for the week and will finish up the pocket moleskine in June. I’ve already bought a new one to use when this one is done. I decided to get a larger notebook in the same color only with dotted lines. I also plan to give more pages for each day, leave space to journal more. But who knows, I might not need the extra space because it’s a larger scale notebook. I’ll touch base on the notebooks more next time. I have a list of pros and cons, as per usual.

Anyway, do you use a planner, daily, weekly, or monthly? I’d love to know how you stay organized. Also, if you dabble in making videos, I’d love to check your videos out so link your channels below! 🙂

~Oct.-Dec.~ Book Haul

It took me a while to finally finish editing this video but here it is! I sort of took a break from buying books during those months and wasn’t reading as much either. But hopefully, I’ll return to reading more books, I didn’t reach my goal of 50+ books in 2016 so now I’ll try again in 2017…haven’t gotten off to a great start but no sense in giving up. 😀

Here are the books I mentioned in the video:

Going to try to get back on a vlogging schedule and try to read more. I have a Book Outlet Haul coming up and I can’t wait! What books have you been reading lately?

Thanks for reading
