Happy Regular Tuesday

Happy (late) Valentine’s Day!!! Or if you feel as though this is a ridiculous holiday then I hope you had aย  Happy regular Tuesday. ๐Ÿ˜€

So I feel as though this holiday should be for everyone. Why must it only be for the people in romantic relationships? I love people too. Plus I think couples, mainly women, put way too much pressure on this holiday. I mean relax, just because your significant other forgot to buy you flowers or chocolate don’t attack him. Wouldn’t you rather have him do sweet things for you just because he wanted to and not because a holiday says he’s a bad boyfriend if he doesn’t? I mean if I was in a relationship, I would be happy with just seeing that person. Thankfully though I’m not and I can just relax.I mean I’ve only been in a relationship once during Valentine’s Day and he made me a card and spent the day with me. And that for me is a perfect day. So this year I decided to dress up for Valentine’s. I even painted hearts on my nails,ย  I went all out. I thought, why not? Might as well have some fun, and I actually enjoyed it too. I don’t usually wear red so when I found that this red blouse in my closet I just said hey cool. And then I just added the bow tie I made for Halloween. I think it ties the outfit together, I plan on make some more bows in different colors. So I got out of class early and visited Mija at her office. After she finished with work, Jody took us out to dinner for some Banh mi. :9 Great dinner.ย  Oh but I did get a Valentine from my mom. She bought me a frog plushie holding a heart picture frame, which she filled with a picture of her and my dad. Its one of my favorite pictures of them. I love my mom, she is just so cute. :smile:I had plan to make some Valentine cookies but I got home way too late and just lost interest. -.-

Well anyway that was my Valentine’s, I hope yours was just as nice and hope the rest of your week is just as nice. <3<3

    “Wouldnโ€™t you rather have him do sweet things for you just because he wanted to and not because a holiday says heโ€™s a bad boyfriend if he doesnโ€™t?” <– EXACTLY! I don't understand women who go crazy over this holiday. I knew a girl in high school who took a boyfriend back after he went out and had sex with someone else one night (after she refused to do it)…because she had never been alone on a Valentine's Day and couldn't stand to be.

    @Robin,
    Yeah I don’t understand women who feel that way either. :/ Its a shame that some people feel this way.

    I feel the exact same way! And good for you for making the most of Valentine’s Day and celebrating =) I feel like so many people are SO bitter about Valentine’s Day if they’re single (or even if they’re not)…its silly. I’ve loved Valentine’s Day either way. My bf didn’t even get me anything…just made me dinner, and that was fine.

    @Melanie, Yeah, if only people could see that being single on any day doesn’t make you pathetic. It just means you haven’t found someone yet. Doesn’t mean you never will either. Yay for being comfortable with where you are in life. XD

    I feel the same way about Valentine’s Day. I have always had some sort of date or boyfriend on Valentine’s Day, but I always just wanted to spend it with my friends. That’s why I’ve spent the last couple of VDays either delivering flowers or raging. However, it kinda sucked this year because I’m so new to this island and don’t have a car. I wasn’t able to do what I would have wanted to, and I unfortunately took it out on my boyfriend. I totally ruined Tuesday for him. Good thing for Wednesday. ๐Ÿ™‚

    @Tina, Sorry your plans didn’t go as you would have liked. Exactly, you had Wednesday and any day after Wednesday to make it up to him. Tuesday didn’t have to be a special day, any day can be that special day. It just depends on you. ๐Ÿ˜€

    I love valentines day just to be soppy and sweet with people – not necessarily just my boyfriend as we’re in a long distance relationship so it’s rare we see each other on official valentines day. I like to buy valentines themed goodies for my friends, & write little cards with cute notes to put smiles on their faces ๐Ÿ™‚ I like to think its not just a day for couples, but a day to tell the ones you love (friends & family alike) how much you love them ๐Ÿ™‚

    @Emma, Well I admire you for not being one of those crazy girlfriends that put pressure on their boyfriends to surprise them with lavish gifts on this day. Especially when you have to deal with distance and not being able to see him often.
    Thanks for reading and commenting. ๐Ÿ˜€
