Making videos has been a great way for me to express myself and do something creative. I’ve really enjoyed sharing my love of stationery and I want to tell all of my subscribers and fellow stationery addicts how much I appreciate the support. It has been really fun and I’m excited to continue making videos.

There are a ton of things that make me happy. Today I’d like to mention something that really brings a smile to my face. Stationery!!!

I recently just purchased a ZenPop box from Japan. I haven’t received it yet but I cannot wait to get it! They give you plenty of peeks into the items you are getting which I am a huge fan of. I like knowing what I’m getting, but having a few surprises is nice too.

They have different themes each month, I purchased the Animal Friends pack? They are including kitty washi tape so I was sold! I also chose this box because it wasn’t something you actually had to subscribe to. You purchase them monthly. I don’t like having to remember to unsub because some monthly sub boxes aren’t always a hit. I’m sure it’s hard when it comes to putting one together and figuring out what to put in it and whatnot but I guess it depends on the type. A stationery box is perfect for me, a book one, where the book is kept hidden…not so much.

And ZenPop isn’t simply a stationery it’s a Japanese stationery box! Another reason why I just signed up for this month’s box. There’s a Sailor Moon pen included and I just had to say yes. This box includes 12 items! And the price is $29.50 FREE shipping! Not too expensive, but not too cheap either. And for exciting news! ZenPop has decided to do a giveaway where you could win one of their past boxes and I would love to win! But I also have a feeling I will be a repeat customer of future boxes. Ok now on to the update. So school has been going well so far. I’ve managed to stay caught up on all of my reading assignments. Hopefully I can keep it up. The books I’ve been reading for my lit classes have been pretty interesting. But that means that I have to put any other books that I’ve been wanting to read on hold until I find some time to read for fun. Also my birthday is this Tuesday (yes I was born on 9-11. If you have any annoying jokes about that then please keep them to yourself.) and I’m 23! I don’t have plans on the day but I have a bunch of other things planned for the rest of this month. There’s a reading on Wednesday at 5:30 (the 12th) that I might attend. It’s on campus so I thought since I’m there might as well check it out. The only problem with that is going home too late. I hate taking the bus when it’s dark but it might be ok. We shall see. Then I have the Junot Diaz reading on the 24th to attend, I cannot wait for that I’m excited to get my book signed by him. Then on the 26th I have my Birthday present, Mija is taking me to see Beauty and The Beast on Broadway. >.< So excited!!! Beauty and The Beast is my favorite Disney movie/fairy tale story so seeing it on stage is just beyond amazing.  And then maybe going to Poison Girl for a reading the day after that…not sure about that. I cannot wait until it starts getting colder. I’m tired of sweating buckets before I even get to the bus stop. I guess if I didn’t dress in so many layers I wouldn’t be having this problem. But I can’t help it. I like layers. The cutest outfits are in layers. Speaking of outfits I really need to start documenting my outfits again so I know which combination I’ve worn and on what day. Need to alternate. XD Sadly, there probably won’t be any cold weather until January. I’m totally not kidding. Ok maybe a little bit. But it usually takes forever for it to get cold. You would think after living in Texas for 23 years I would have accepted the weather by now. But no. I haven’t. I’ve been dying to wear my new blazer that Kat got me for my birthday.  I had no idea that she had gotten me a gift. She’s horrible at keeping things a surprise but then again I’m no better. >.<

Have any awesome plans this month or this year? :3 Also Mija’s wedding is next month! Can’t believe how fast time has gone by. >.< This wedding is going to be amazing. Believe me when I say I enjoy living in the digital world. I do. I love that I can send someone a message via the internet, but that doesn’t mean I do not enjoy sending/receiving normal cards and letters.

I joined a few pen pal groups, hopefully these work out. The last time I joined a pen pal swap none of my assigned pals ever replied to my letters. I didn’t want my letters to make them feel obligated but I guess it was too much for them to keep up with. I mean I know sending things via mail can be hard to keep up with. I used to swap a notebook back and forth with my best friend but I haven’t sent it back to her in awhile. Now that I think of it it was sort of like a SMASH* book. We would write, doodle and smash stuff in it.  I’m planning on sending her more letters, I miss her.  Oh some exciting news, so there was this blog hop, with amazing prizes, and I won one of them. I will have my very own Amy Tangerine–The Little Things Day Book. I’m just so excited, I’ve never won anything before. So again a thank you to Kellie for hosting such an awesome blog hop. I love her blog.  Continuing on with mail, my swapbot deadline is coming up next week and I finally finished gathering my 5 items to send to my partner. Each item has to be something she can use when smashing so I’m hoping she likes the items I’ve chosen for her. The other is a card I made for a SMASH*aholics pen pal. I had a lot of fun making it. I got to use my new typewriter stamp. I love it!  I really love stamps and on my last visit to Hobby Lobby they had a bunch of new stamps. I’m hoping to send these out sometime this week. Speaking of this week it’s my last week off. Classes start next Monday, and I’m not exactly looking forward to getting back on schedule. -.- I’m already having problems with this semester and financial aid which I hope to clear up in the morning. Also Friday is the dreaded road test!!! I’m still as terrified as ever. I really wish I could have practiced parallel parking some more. Blasted  parallel parking! I’m trying to be calm about the whole thing, I mean I’ve talked about getting my license and always blamed my parents for not getting it sooner. I just have bad test anxiety and the fear of failing doesn’t help. The other day my 16 year old cousin got her license so that should motivate me to do my best on Friday. I can do this! I know I can, I’ve been driving for awhile now and I should hurry up and just make it legal now.  No more excuses.

So let’s start with the bad/sad news. Remember the kitty I posted a video about in an earlier post. Click here if you don’t. Well anyway today Kat found him in our garage and noticed something was wrong with him. We aren’t sure what happened to him, he was doing fine. I went to see for myself and I wish I hadn’t. He couldn’t walk, he soiled himself and made no sound. He was dying. Seeing him this way was just heartbreaking. I couldn’t help but burst into tears. I know we didn’t have him long enough for us to actually consider him our cat, but I already saw him as part of the family. It was hard not to grow attached to Willow, with his dinosaur meow and constant need for attention. He was already ours. I had hope to see him get fat and healthy but sadly that won’t happen. My dad had to call animal control to come and get him out of the garage and put him to sleep. It just makes me really sad that we couldn’t save him. I really wish I knew what happened and what caused his condition to worsen. This is the first time I have witnessed a dying pet. I can’t imagine how I will feel when I lose one of my older cats. Goodbye Willow, I’m glad you aren’t suffering any longer.

So I mentioned in my last blog about a possible giveaway. I’ll make a vlog showcasing the clutch I made that will be up for grabs. If enough people participate I might give two away. I’ll try to get that going this weekend or maybe sometime next week.

I bought new fabric this weekend. I bought a pretty paper umbrella fabric and this cute sewing themed one. Kat chose those two. And then I noticed the robot one in the clearance section and just had to get it. >.< And then my mom showed me this nice Star Wars fabric. XD I lost it. I HAD to buy it. Lets just say I went a tad bit over board, but I can’t help it. Once I enter that store I’m instantly drawn to all the pretty fabric and just start piling it into my cart. And can you blame me? It doesn’t help with all the signs that say 30% and 40% off. Plus the coupons?! O.o The coupons!!!! But I did drive all the way to Jo Ann’s fabrics. Now that is a pretty big step for me. I hate driving in Houston anxiety. Its scary and I hate doing it. But at the same time I want to learn. I drove again on Sunday, and while Mija and mom ran errands Kat and I stayed in the car and took a bunch of pictures. XD We do this a lot. She is my unofficial photographer. That’s the best thing about sisters. You can just be yourself around them. Well that’s true for siblings in general. Its also interesting because they know you for you’re entire life and they see the transformation you go through as you age. Weird. lol So Mija finally managed to get the Toki Doki Cactus Girl phone strap for me. I can’t believe after weeks of buying these foil covered trinkets, she was able to get it. Talk about luck. I mentioned this a few posts back…on how I got a milk strap. Now all that is left is to get the Pink Cactus Girl for Kat. I put it on my cell, I’m still amazed by this. I mean at first the game was fun, but after awhile the element of surprise becomes very frustrating. They should just have clear boxes so we know which ones we are buying and we can buy the ones we want. Not that I don’t like my milk strap, because I do, but it would make getting the other ones much easier. -.- I know just a stupid keychain. But its a sister thing. I can’t help it. Plus how freaking cute is Toki Doki? Extremely. I have an extra phone strap that I might include as a separate giveaway. But only if I do one clutch. This will be my first giveaway, and if it goes well I’ll continue to do one every other month or so.  If not then maybe the next handmade creation will grab your attention.
