Inside Kimmy's Mind

So Kat and I went on an adventure the other day. Just the two of us. I even woke up early which was weird, regular lazy Kim would’ve just wanted to stay in bed. But again as I said in the last post, the bug man was coming to spray.

Dad said it would take 2 hours but it didn’t seem to take that long. But I still had fun with Kat, a vlog will be up later to show what we did. I just have to convert the video files. :/ My new handycam is amazing. It just has a video codex that premiere hates. -.- But luckily the files work ok in movie maker. So I edit a bit there and then publish them on mm and then drag those files into to premiere to do some final editing. And hopefully the playback quality isn’t compressed or choppy. Anyway, so Kat and I decided to try out the mini metro here. And we went to The Local for lunch, it was great I had a lot of fun. Then we just walked around town for a bit. And then Kat got tired. -.- So we walked to the park and she took an hour nap. She said she felt like a hobo sleeping in the grass like that. XD Silly Kathy. While she slept I just played ds until the battery died anyway. Then after she woke up we took some more pictures and then walked to the orthodontist for Kat’s appointment. And that was the end of the adventure, it was a lot of fun and I’m glad we did it.

Thursday Cate came over and we played Just Dance again. I love hanging out with Cate she is one of the few friends from High School that I still see and talk to. She is moving to Galveston and transferring to UTMB so I won’t get to see her every time I visit home. But we plan to Skype every now and then.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Another Christmas has gone by and it was wonderful. As usual.:D

I don’t have a job, so no money to buy gifts so I usually make my family gifts. But making something for my parents that they will actually want/use is pretty difficult. I couldn’t think of anything to make them either so I just offered suggestions on what to get them. :/ I only made gifts for Mija, Jody and Kat. For Mija I made her a ds case, for Jody I knitted him a scarf, (I just learned how to knit and word of advice-make sure you count stitches.>.< ) And for Kat I made her a cute apron, but its not quite finished yet. I still have to sew on the pockets and make sure it fits her right. When we were younger Christmas was mainly for us. Our parents didn’t really get presents, so now that we are older we can actually get them presents. I’m glad that Christmas can also be for my parents and not just about us.

Kathy got an Xbox and even dad is playing it. I can’t even play it unless I wake up early enough and that is not going to happen. But watching him play is pretty funny, he gets this  look on his face that means,” I am in the zone, do NOT mess with me. ” Pretty funny.  Well I got a new video camera and I’m about to take it out and go on an adventure. There is this mini metro here in my town that will take us to Lake Jackson. So being without a car and all this is actually pretty useful. We have the bug man coming to spray our house so we don’t get bugs, he comes every year and so today he is coming and we need to be out of the house for 2 hours so we are gonna take the transit and go to the Local or maybe the park depending on how cold it is. It looks rainy outside so I’m thinking the Local. lol We are gonna have lunch and then explore downtown Lake Jackson. XD Which won’t take long. lol I just think it is funny that it is called downtown. And then at 3:45 we will go to Kat’s Ortho. and then dad will pick us up and take Kat to work. And that is the plan for today. Hopefully everything works out.

The Girls With Glasses Show

They are so adorable, I love their videos. Plus they wear glasses, I’ve been wearing since the 4th grade. I thought glasses were the coolest things in the world. I would even pretend I wore glasses before I had to. My cousin had some old glasses that she has popped the lenses out and I would wear them all the time. I thought glasses just magically made you smarter. I remember when my dad took me to get my eyes checked for the first time, and on the way I said, “I hope I get glasses.” I was an excited 9 year old. My dad then yelled at me saying that I shouldn’t wish to have poor eye sight. He was the kid with tape between his glasses. Except after he got into high school he stopped wearing glasses.

Every time I had an eye exam (I hate getting my eyes checked) I was always asked about contact lenses, and I would immediately just tell them no thank you. I rather like my glasses, and I would probably poke an eye out trying to get the contact in. >.< I have nervous eyes.  Anyway, I love wearing glasses and since I’ve been wearing them for 12 years already they have molded to my face and I look ridiculous without them. -.- So when I have to pose for my driver’s license and they insist/force me to remove my eyes when taking the picture, that is when my nervous eye habit really kicks in.  It takes like 40 mins for me to take a picture without blinking.  So there are some Kimmy facts you just had to know. -.-;

Back to the reason I’m making this post. I just wanted to share this with you.

So for Halloween weekend we went to Oni-Con. And we got to see and interview the J-rock band GAKIDO. The concert was awesome, I was in front and got hit a lot by the bass player Rito. GAKIDO was really nice and funny during the interview. Even their manager was nice, he gave us water. :3 Shutaro is my favorite member and he was so freaking hilarious. The entire band was really energetic on stage the live was exciting and the band kept the fans pumped up I had a lot of fun. And for Halloween we just spent the night at home and watched The Walking Dead. Its a good show, of course I hate Rick’s wife. How can she just start sleeping with her husbands best friend? I mean you are in the middle of an apocalypse shouldn’t she just be concentrating on surviving? And oh yeah mourning your supposedly dead husband?! I know its to add dramatic effect, I just really hope someone tells him that his wife slept with his best friend. Just saying.

What Mija and I wore for Halloween.

Ok. So I am finally enrolled at UH. Transferring is so complicated. -.- But I’m finally enrolled and now I just have to get a loan and then pay for classes and buy my text books.

The other day Kat and I got our new glasses.  Then mom took us to Hastings where I found the movie book of Mirror Mask for three bucks. Mirror Mask is one of my favorite movies. Its made by my favorite people, Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean. I absolutely adore them. So I was happy to find this book for 3 bucks when it originally cost like 16 bucks.  Mom also bought me these recycled paper journals from Target. I love getting new journals. I mostly update my blog now but I’ll write in a handwritten journal now and then. And for me you can never have enough journals. When I went to Borders I saw this journal. I love Paperchase its a UK brand so I can’t order this journal online. -.- Hopefully Borders will still have it. Anyway, Kat got this book called Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. I read it in a day and half, I couldn’t put it down. What I loved most about this book  was that its written in both the main girl’s and guy’s pov. I liked Sam’s pov better because his thoughts were more interesting. Its romantic and exciting, its the type of book where you can’t turn the page fast enough, and when its over you are left with this achy feeling.  I cannot wait to read the sequel. -.- I usually always have a book to read. But I don’t have one. So I’m borrowing one of Kat’s yet again. She didn’t want me reading Shiver before her because when we read books we usually tell each other about the book we are reading. But she wanted to read this one herself. >.< I do the same with movies, I want to tell others the ending before the movie has even started.

So Cate came over last Saturday, and we played Just Dance on Wii. And that game is indeed a work out. My arms were so sore after playing. -.- I am sooooooooo out of shape. But I had so much fun with Kat and Cate. Then after dancing we ate dinner and sat and played Smash Bros and then took some pictures until my cam battery died. I should have charged it. Cate is so adorable. And I have so much fun when I am with her. I don’t really hang out with friends often I’m such a lazy person.

Ok so Kat and I went to the Orthodontist the other day. They took some pictures and x rays, then they made molds of our teeth which I thought I was going to choke when they were doing the top teeth. Next week we have another meeting before they can actually put braces on us. >.< I hate all this waiting, I just want to get it over and done with. Man people born with perfect teeth have it so easy. -.- But I just keep saying to myself that I will have perfect teeth too after what 2 years? I can do this. Right? >.<  Oh yeah I totally forgot I painted my second Munny last week. I love kid-robot.  This time I think I did a much better job on it. I used my cell case and ipod for inspiration. And I like it a lot, I think its so cute and it has more personality then the first one I painted. I should have sent this one to Hyun, but I couldn’t resist painting another one. >.<

Despite having a huge headache and a sore neck from sleeping weird. I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY! An exclamation mark just isn’t enough to get the happiness across.

Why am I so happy? I just found out who my math teacher is for my summer semester. I had him before, for another math class. And I was so upset when I didn’t get him again. But now I have him as my teacher and I will for sure pass my math class. God I am in such a good mood. But all this happiness is making me hungry. I really need to stop snacking. I snack way too much and I don’t exercise at all. Walking up and downstairs doesn’t necessarily count seeing as I avoid it as much as possible by bringing snacks to my room. Bad idea. Damn I’m bringing down my happy high. Enough about snacks and  exercise because I AM HAPPY!

TUESDAY!

I got to spend the entire day with Missy. She went with me to the student show, and then we went out to eat with my mom. She is so wonderful. Then Missy, Kat and I went to watch Kick-Ass. Such a good movie, Hit Girl was so freaking awesome. She should have been the main role because she made the movie amazing. Anyway, so hanging out with Missy was wonderful as always.

On Thursday my art class went to an art museum. I wasn’t allowed to take any pictures and I didn’t even take any outside or anything. Man I’m lazy. Oh and Missy met up with my class at the museum with her parents. I was so happy I thought I wasn’t going to see her because I made plans with my sister to pick me up after the museum. She had to go back to work so I went with her and then afterward she took me to Aka. It was sooooooo delicious. We ate California roll and black peppered beef cut sashimi style. And then we ate gyoza but I totally forgot to take a picture of that. And then we ordered a plate of teriyaki beef.  The portions were small but the perfect size. We also ordered a bowl of white rice which was perfect because if its your first time trying raw beef you want to eat it with rice so it can act as a shield when its in your mouth. Does that make sense? But it also compliments the beef. I can’t get over how good it was. I love sushi. After sushi we went back to her apartment and I fell asleep. Then she so kindly woke me up, even though I was extremely tired, to go over Jody’s house to play Left 4 Dead 2. Then they showed me Little Big Planet. So fucking cute. I am totally going to make my own little sack person. I just need to find the right fabric.

Sneezing.Stuffy nose. Sore throat.

These are my symptoms. No fever. But when I get too cold and decide to turn the fan off I get too hot. So if its the chills then I guess I have that as well. I constantly need a tissue in my hand, and let me tell you without being too graphic. Its not pretty. I stayed up late painting my next art project. I’m sort of happy with it, but I’m also sort of stuck. For this project we are supposed to paint a portrait of someone we either extremely love or hate beyond reason. I couldn’t choose between Neil Gaiman and Dave Mckean. So I’ve decided to paint both. I watched the movie Mirror Mask for inspiration. One of my favorite movies.

My cat was just attacked by two dogs. I’m like freaking out. What if he is bleeding to death? Dying alone? I can’t handle that. He was supposed to die of old age, he is my first cat. I can’t go out and look for him no matter how much I want to. He will come right? I know I shouldn’t hate the dogs that attacked him, my anger should be directed at the dumb ass pet owners that don’t know how to keep their stupid fucking demon monster dogs locked him. Sigh. Just please let my cat be ok. Kozi wasn’t attacked he bolted over the fence so fast I hope he is ok.

I’m no longer in the mood to blog.

Ok Japan has a ton of cute things that I wish we had here. One of the things I wish we had here is Purikura photo booths. Now we have photo booths here. But lets face it.They suck. And lately I haven’t seen any photo booths around to tell you the truth. There is no longer an arcade in my towns mall. And the photo booths they used to have are now gone. I think. Tomorrow…I mean later today I am on a quest to find a sticker photo booth. I’m sure I won’t be able to find one in my town because there isn’t any. But it could be that I haven’t actually had a need for one. But anyway going back to Purikura and its awesomeness. I know I can always find brushes for it on photoshop but I have always wanted to print out stickers and such. The other day I went to a store called Calico Cats Sewing Center. I didn’t get a good look around because they were closing. But I now I know where I can buy nice fabric. Of course its like 8 bucks a yard so thats annoying. But this is a family owned business it looks like. This is a picture from the net. But I intend to take pictures of my own later today. From what little I saw I am already in love with the store. Mom also took us to Hastings where I got the sequel to Evermore. Which is Blue Moon.  I love getting new books. I wish I could get a job at Hastings in the book department. Sigh. I will get a job. I am not giving up!

So I have a quest to fulfill later today. And to find the other fabric store that my sister says exist. I should go to sleep now. Night night.

My sister and I would baby sit our neighbors cat. It started when my sister was like 12 who is now 24, and then after she left home I started taking care of Spicy with Kathy when I was 13 or so. I am now 19 and I have up til now took care of this cat when her owners go out of town. But sadly she has past away.

I know she was old, and I know all things come to an end. But I never thought it would happen. I can’t imagine how Laura must feel finding her beloved pet cat dead. Being an owner of two cats myself I know how attached one can get. They may be pets but they are still family. Spicy was the sweetest cat I knew. She would rub against my leg waiting for me to feed her. And then brush her coat when she was finished eating. Sometimes I would fall asleep there and wake up with her sleeping next to me or on me. I’m going to miss Spicy.

I already missed a day this month, and I could just go back and add an entry and just pretend it was written on that day. But I have decided I wouldn’t cheat. So I will try again next month, and during that time I will be better prepared and make sure that I update my blog every day that month. Plus next month is my birthday and I will have already started classes so I should have much more to update with. But I will eventually do the whole month of blogging thing. I should try to make my blog less boring. But I have no clue on how to do that so…yeah.
