Questions!!!

1. Who was your childhood hero?   My dad. I was a huge daddy’s girl as a child. Now that I’m grown up and out of the house. He picks on me like a little brother would. :/ He is crazy.

2. What is your biggest pet peeve? Sorry, but I can’t stand it when women wear leggings/tights without wearing something that covers their butt. If you bend down or reach up and I can see your underwear then that means you should wear some shorts or cute bloomers to cover up. Thank you.

3. Favorite thing about grade school? It was so easy to make friends. It was the time before clicks formed and everyone was friends with everyone. Before the jocks became jocks and the geeks became geeks. It was nice. 🙂

4. What is your ultimate guilty pleasure?  I wouldn’t say its my ultimate guilty pleasure, but I enjoy Vampire Diaries. I’ve never read the books, nor do I plan to, but for some reason I just got sucked in by the series. >.< The story line isn’t that great, but I enjoy watching it.

5. Favorite item to accessorize with? It would have to say scarves. After learning how to knit them, I’ve become obsessed. XD But then again I’m crazy about bags and hair accessories as well. So this is actually a very hard question to answer.

6. Do you have any hobbies? Yes I do. Blogging, reading, knitting, sewing. Sometimes I vlog and just writing in general. :3

7. Favorite tasty beverage? Raspberry lemonade. Sooooo freaking yummy. :9 I first tried it at FireHouse Subs. And instantly feel in love with it. And its all thanks to this fancy coke machine.

8. How did you come up with the design of your blog? I just asked my talented sister to design and make one for me. I asked her to design something that would fit my personality and feature my hobbies. And the finish product is just splendid. So thanks again Mjia!! <3

9. Do you go to any cons or meet ups? I’ve been to a few cons, now I’m more focused on going to readings in my area. The one I’m excited for most is The Houston Indie Book Fest. So if your in the area, you should come check it out and look for the Gulf Coast table. That’s where I’ll be. >.<

10. What are you going/did go to school for? I’m an English Major with a Concentration in Creative Writing at UH. And I hope to work for a Journal or a Magazine or a nice publishing company.

11. Tell me your best childhood memory! I have so many good ones. But the one that springs to mind, I wouldn’t exactly call this the best, is when I would tell my mom that a bird landed on my finger while I was playing outside. XD Not sure why I would do this. But it just seemed so amazing, I must have associated birds with Disney Princesses and felt that a bird landing on my finger was pure magic.

My Questions for you!!! :3

1. If you could meet any celebrity or other personality in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
2. Which color best describes you or stands for your personality?
3. How did you come up with your blog url? Or if you don’t have your own domain, where did the name of your blog come from?
4.Describe yourself in a single sentence.
5. Favorite cartoon character?
6.Pc or Mac?
7. iphone or Droid? Or if you don’t have a smart phone, why not?
8. Favorite movie?
9. Why do you blog?
10. What projects have you been working on? (i.e. personal, creative, homework)
11. What is the best thing about your blog design?

I tag Kristen, Melanie, Bea, Sarah, Audry, Robin and Shelly. After you update your blog with this meme leave a link to it on my post. Others are welcomed to it as well.

Adieu

I lost my straighter the other morning…I know this might not seem like a big deal but to me it is a very big deal.

The only thing I obsessed about is my hair. I cannot leave the house without taming it. If I don’t? My hair is this out of control frizzy mess that could strangle someone. That someone being me. I’ve had many straighteners in my life and I’ve lost quite a few, (lost count) and they aren’t exactly cheap. -.- But I was in the middle of straightening my hair and couldn’t finish the job because I noticed its red light was off. My first instinct was to panic. O.O Followed by,”Oh shit oh shit!” I recall the last time this happened…and I vaguely remember my mom saying something along the lines,“You’re buying the next one when this happens again.” That was like 2 maybe 3 years ago. That is what sucks about these products. They work amazingly for a couple of years and then die. Why can’t they just last forever?!!! >o< Luckily, I have the most wonderful mom on the planet and she totally saved me by buying me a new one. Yes, I am a HUGE BRAT. I make no attempts to hiding that fact along with being pretty vain. But I can’t help it. Once I started straightening my hair, (8 yrs ago) there was no stopping. I refuse to let my hair run amok. It’s like Medusa, only I have no control over the snakes. And it shows no mercy, once you make eye contact…you’re doomed. :/

So now that I’m done freaking out, I can show you the cutest bag I saw at Target the other day. Its either a fox or a raccoon not sure. But how freaking cute is it? They also had an owl version, but the way it was designed made it look like an angry bird. But after doing some research, (aka typing words into Google) I found this. And also the original designer’s Etsy store. It sucks that, a designer’s original idea can be copied like that. It almost makes me somewhat glad that I didn’t buy the bag, even though it is extremely cute. >.< But this also makes me want to try and design my own fox/raccoon bag. I do like the use of pleather in the hand bag.  I’ve been wanting to try and make something with pleather myself. Maybe I should hunt some down and actually get started on that goal. But with school starting I haven’t had a lot of time to make anything. I still haven’t updated M-S for this month yet. I keep wanting to make this, this month but homework keeps getting in the way. :/ Speaking of homework, I should finish reading a chapter before I actually go to sleep. >.< I’m so bad, but hey I’m still trying to get back to having a schedule and deadlines again. Also I was browsing Youtube, and stumbled upon this Cults music video. Emma Roberts and Dave Franco sure have grown up.  Plus is it just me or has he lost that dopey awkwardness he has on Scrubs? Also he is starting to resemble his brother more. This music video is so pretty and bittersweet. Makes me want to actually take a chance on something instead of just day dreaming about it.

So have any beautiful music videos to share? Or any items you regret not purchasing?

Shopping Woes

So my mom had Monday off, so we planned a day of shopping. I’m going back to Houston on Sunday so she wanted to get me and Kat a back to school outfit. I love mom. Only, shopping right after the Holidays is just pointless.

Pointless in a small town anyway. Yeah there are a bunch of sales that make you feel a little less guilty when it comes to buying clothes but what I’ve come to learn is that the only items left on the rack are left overs. The items that no one bought before Christmas, sizes S and XXL only. You’d be lucky if you managed to find a medium. I was on a mission to find some nice tights and a blouse/shirt or better a great dress that I could either dress up or down depending on the occasion. Also I wanted it to match my new boots. >.< I love them. But before we could start our mother daughter day (minus one), we had to see what the weather had in store for us. It was thundering and raining, so I feared mom would change her mind and try to reschedule our shopping day for some other time. But she said it should be fine and we ventured out in the rain anyways. Luckily, after we got to the mall it stopped. However, I think the rain was an omen, trying to tell us that we wouldn’t find anything in the stores today.

The first store on our list was JCPenny’s. And there was nothing that caught my eye. Minus this pretty necklace and bird ring. But they were each 9 bucks. -.- And I was holding out for an actual outfit. (I regret not getting them) Kat found a ring she liked so she got that, and I bought some nice brown tights to wear. Kat and I were hoping that rue 21 would have something we liked. They always have great selections….not this time. There was nothing there either. I was hoping to find at least a dress that I liked. I found one but it was too small. And then mom brought a skirt into the dressing room for me to try on. It was cute, but not cute enough for 21.99.  Besides I have enough bottoms, its tops that I need.  Side note-I was making an awkward face in the picture so I decided to cover it up with Keroppi’s face. I always forget to take pictures of the clothes I try on. I also tried on some great cord pants. They were comfy and a nice brown yellow plus only 15 bucks. But again I was determined to find a dress or a blouse. And we were going to hit up Kohl’s next and I was holding out. -.- Of course only for more disappointment. Word of the wise, don’t shop in a small town after the Holidays because there is nothing left. I was bummed, then mom suggested we go have lunch. We were going to go to The Local but as it turns out they close after four on Mondays. -.- Lame. So we went to Luby’s instead, but mom wasn’t very happy with the food there. Even though so many little things went wrong I was happy to spend the entire day with my mom. She is the best and I’m gonna miss not see her every day. T-T  So after that we went home and Kat and I passed out on the couch. Going through the motions of shopping is exhausting, and more so when you don’t even have anything to show for it. -.- But in a couple weeks there will be new items in stock and we’ll be ready.  Of course I’m not going to put so many limits on deciding what I buy next time. I should have just bought those great pants. They were nice….oh well there is always some other time.

Shopping after the holidays is difficult…have any shopping woes to share? I wanna hear about it.

Damn Crick

One of the biggest things I find annoying and painful is a neck crick. And I just had to pop my neck in the wrong way and end up immobile for a week. New Year Luck.

Luckily, I’m getting better thanks to Kat and my loving mom. Its still a bit sore but nothing compared to Tuesday. Sound familiar? The last time I had one was in 2008. And the only reason I remember this is because I spent most of my immobile days in bed fixing my blog entries. I decided since my blog got a make over, it was time to go back and fix all of my past entries. Since the hacking of our domain, my blog became this unorganized mess. So I used my time in bed to fix every entry since it was a new year and all. I’m loving the new layout. Mija out did herself as usual and always seems to capture my personality perfectly. I would never be able to design my own layout so I’m happy she took the time to design and code one for me. It was a Christmas present. 🙂 So before my neck spazzed out, I spent Monday with the weirdos and Cate. Kat and I decided to take pictures in Hastings. I don’t always feel pretty, so when I do I like to take a ton of “candid” pictures to document when I do. Also I wanted to show off the cute boots I got for Christmas. They are actually really comfortable. I love them. Plus I was having a good hair day and its nice when my hair behaves itself. I want to buy some new cute tights to wear with the boots. They are sort of an olive green color, so I’m thinking some teal tights or brown maybe blue. I want to try colorful tights with a fun pattern. I’ve seen some adorable tights on the Modcloth site. Along with the cutest dresses with deadly prices. :/ So on another note, its my mom and tia’s birthday on Tuesday. We let her open her present yesterday because the weirdos won’t be here for her actual birthday. She was so happy, when she opened it. She got a makeup bundle from Estee Lauder. She was so freaking adorable when she said, “I’m glad my birthday comes early.” I think she meant after Christmas. She proceeded to laugh and say, “I’m so lucky.” I love my mom. She is the best. Monday she is off so Kat and I get to spend the day with her. I only have this coming week and then its back to school I’m not really ready to start classes again. But its not like I’m not a tad bit excited for my non fiction class. I’m just going to miss being home. It was pretty comfortable the past couple weeks. I hated taking down the Christmas decorations though. I helped mom and put most of them back in their boxes. When she was taking all the trimmings off the tree it was hard not to be a bit sad. I love when the house is decorated during Christmas. Its gives the house a nice feeling, plus the tree kept its scent for a while and made the living room smell of pine. And another thing that has me bummed is the weather. I hate Texas’s bipolar weather, but this isn’t even bipolar this is just ridiculous. I know Texas is hot, but we at least get cold weather during the winter. It’s my favorite time of the year and its not even cold. It was in the 70s the other day. The 70s!!! I made fingerless mittens and scarves to wear. Not to mention a really adorable gray cape jacket to wear. I can’t wear these things outside now. I’d suffer a heat stroke!!! Last Monday was acceptable weather. Why can’t it at least be like that? -.- Just thinking of waiting for the bus in that heat pisses me off. I hope it gets colder soon. Last winter, I’d complain because my toes were frozen when I waited for the bus and it made walking around campus painful. I demand a winter. Mija and Jody surprised Kat and me with some adorable Tokidoki charms. My favorite character is the green cactus girl. But the charms are packaged in foil so you can’t tell which one you get. But she is determined to get the right ones. But I think they are all cute. Mine is a milk cow. I think its supposed to be green apple flavor. Blech- I’m not a fan of milk but its so cute.. So I should get some sleep Its already 5 am. And I was doing so well with going to bed early and waking up early. My face was clearing up and now I totally ruined it. -.-Why do I do this to myself?!!! I need to get back on a good sleeping schedule especially when I start classes again. I have a full schedule this semester so that I need to sleep more.

I’m going to miss the past several weeks of doing nothing but sleeping. -.-

My 2011

So I thought I’d end this year by doing a recap of everything that happened in 2011. I got the idea from my sister’s blog over here.

But once I tried updating about last year, I had trouble remembering what all happened in the beginning. So I’ll just give you small insights to the important things that impacted my 2011.

My best friend had her son Jaxson. He is so freaking adorable. And now he is already a year old how crazy is that? I hope I get to see them both at the end of the month for his birthday party. She lives in Oklahoma now, so I don’t get to see her often. And I still haven’t had a chance to mail off her Christmas gift. >.< I’m so bad.

My little sister graduated high school last may and started her first semester at BC last August. I can’t believe how quickly she is growing up as well. Kat and I have always been together so living in Houston without her in the next room has been difficult. Luckily I have awesome roomies to keep me company.

Speaking of the weirdos they got engaged last year as well. They booked the reception place and bought our bride’s maid dresses. Its really exciting to be included in this wedding. Mija has changed so much since meeting Jody. I’m glad she found someone that can make her happy. Also they both left their past jobs to start a freelance company together called Domo-Box but now they are both starting new jobs. I’m so proud of them.

Let’s see we had some awesome parties in 2011. My favorite had to be our Halloween bash. I made costumes and they came out so freaking awesome. I think costume parties are the BEST, especially since my sewing skills have improved a great deal. So has my knitting skills, I’m pretty proud of all the new things I’ve learned how to make. I’m also pretty proud of myself in the social department. I even actually had my first college dating experience, it was new and exciting. I learned a lot, like for instance why beat around the bush just dive in. If you’re interested in someone get to know them and then tell them. It didn’t quite work out for me but I don’t regret any of it. I met a pretty cool guy who is now a pretty cool friend. And I’m glad I put myself out there because I’m already 22 I don’t have time to be shy. I just need to be confident and hey if the guy doesn’t feel the same way oh well then better luck next time. Christmas was another success as usual. I got so many great things, stuff I wasn’t even expecting.

2011 was pretty fun, I can’t really complain about it. I still haven’t gotten a job, but I’m going to stalk Jo-ann’s fabric until they hire me. Totally not kidding. Here’s to 2012, I hope I do well in school and continue to grow socially and be less awkward in social situations.

Ellipsis Obsession

How difficult is it to write about a crazy abused woman who imagines killing her husband? I mean seriously?  -.-
My semester is coming to an end and now all that is left is to edit, revise and study. Oh and turn things in on time. And like the rest of the world I hate deadlines. Some need deadlines to get their work done they need that pressure and blah blah. I on the other hand don’t need pressure. Pressure actually makes me want to procrastinate even more. I don’t work better under pressure I work sloppy under pressure. I hate that stupid saying. I look at what I have to do for my Short Story portfolio and I think, well that’s not a lot. And then when it comes to actually typing things out it turns into an elephant size assignment. I mean even at the moment I should be editing my story but instead I’m blogging about how I should be editing my story. I HATE REVISING!!! I just want to start a new story already. -.- That wouldn’t be wise, but I still want to do it.

So here I am blogging about what I should be doing instead of doing that. I mean I’m stuck. I really hate editing because I still haven’t added an ending to the story but before I can do that I’m revising the 13 pages I’ve written and its just a big jumble of word vomit that I’d rather just delete from my memory along with my laptop’s. But alas, this is my grade I’m talking about. I’m aware that my story isn’t going to be perfect, and at this point it doesn’t have to be. But I do want it to be an interesting read.

*Side note* I’ve been editing for the past hour and I still haven’t gotten up to use the restroom because I’m afraid I will lose focus. Ah fuck- just lost it. POTTY BREAK!!!

How easily I am distracted. Speaking of distractions. Here is a collage thing of things that have sparked my interest this weekend. Some are things I hope to own one day, and some are things I won’t ever own because lets face it I have no money to purchase a few of these items. But lets proceed on to the list starting with…

1. BOOKS!!! You can never have too many books in my opinion and because books exist I am remotely sane. I mean I love having movies and television. But having books makes me happy. Currently I’m reading the Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides which I will discuss in a later entry. It’s Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini – how great is that title? And don’t even get me started on that cover. I mean its wonderful. I love it. And I want it. But only if it is that cover. If it is the movie cover I will scream. Not that I have anything against the movie itself I just despise movie covers. Especially when the books has another cover that looks like that. I mean it just makes me want to buy it, and isn’t that the job of a book cover. To grab your attention and make you pick the book up? And not because there on the cover says (now a motion picture). Barf. I’ve seen the movie and enjoyed it. But now I want to read the book to compare and contrast. Second book, is called The Rules of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis – yes another book that has its own movie. Grrr but what can  I do about it? Some books need to be made into a film for the greater good of artistic expression. This film was made in 2oo2 and I’ve never watched until now. Because of the book. I was browsing through the shelves at Hastings and discovered the book and then proceeded to look it up once I got home. I read a few pages and now I must finish reading it. The movie was interesting and might hold out in a compare and contrast but we shall see which is better. Ok on to number 2. Bikes- not just any bikes but adorable old fashion mint green bikes. How freaking adorable it that bike? I haven’t owned a bike in quite awhile but it doesn’t stop me from hoping, one day I own one that looks like that. These bikes have gotten pretty trendy, and yes I have fallen victim to the call of the trend and now I want one. XD Ok on to 3. Boots!!! I have been looking for a nice pair of boots since last year. And I found some at JCpenny this weekend. I had hope they would be a little taller but these are so pretty. I stopped myself from trying them on so I would want them even more. But its safe to say that even though I didn’t try them on I still want them just as much if had. Number 4. Teal Rose bag from Jo Totes– I know I’ve mention this bag many time before. I still love it! What more can I say? Number 5. Sweater from Target–  Who doesn’t love Target? They have best selection in bags and clothing. And the best graphic tees. But this is a cardigan that I thought was pretty and you can never go wrong with having more than one gray cardigan. Its my number one color choice when purchasing sweaters or jackets. Unless there is a pretty teal. Last but not least number 6. You’re working Wonders Dress from ModCloth– Dying from cuteness!!! I really wish I could try this dress on once just to see if I looked as cute in it as it looks on my computer screen. I mean it might not even look good on me. I’d rather know then sit here pining for it. >.< Maybe one day I’ll find out. If I get over my issue with buying clothes online. I’ve never bought clothes online before because I like to try them on before committing to buying it. I have an in between sizes body type. It might fit perfectly on top but won’t fit around the midsection or vice versa.

Ok so I guess the pressure is starting to kick in. Must finish portfolio tonight because its due tomorrow!!!! >.< Wish me luck.

Halloween Creep Show

So Halloween weekend was so much fun. Everyone dressed up in costumes and we just played games and danced and took pictures. It was great.

We were on a budget this year so I decided to make costumes this year. They had to be simple, so my sisters and I decided on non princess fairy tale characters. Mija and Jody were Alice and the Mad Hatter, I was Little Red, and Kat was Bo Peep. In order for it to be simple I was only going to make accessories (ie aprons, and bows).
I ended up making more than I thought and I’m so happy I did because they came out so great!!!  I love learning new techniques and my skills are definitely improving. I practically made my entire costume excluding the shirt. I did very little for Kat’s and Jody’s, but what I did make was still nice. It’s hard to choose which item I loved making the most, but if I had to pick I would say all the bows I made. I had to make Mija a giant bow for the back of her apron. And I was able to make it stay up with Velcro. I felt very clever. I update more about the costumes on MS. I even made a headband and apron for Emily. She went as Goldilocks. Thankfully she had brought some extra craft stuff to make herself an apron. But all I needed was something to tie the apron in the back and she bought some trim that was perfect for the job. I was really proud of my work and I wish I took more pictures. Of us in the costumes. But I’m excited to out do myself next year. Of course I feel like having costume parties shouldn’t just be for Halloween. I really enjoyed making them and think we should have a costume party every now and then. XD The next one should be Assassins Creed themed, or better yet video game themed. Yeah I would totally have fun making costumes.

It was such a great night. Great food, great costumes and great company.

7 Things

Found this 7 things list here and decided to make an entry about it as well.

These aren’t in any particular order, I just happened to put a number beside them. lol But if I ever travel I think I’ll start with places in America first. Seeing as I’ve never been outside of Texas before. I really want to go to Missouri so I can visit the Red Velvet store. I hope I get to see it in person. >.<

There are tons of things I want to make at the moment.  But here are 7 things I would like to  make. 1.Fabric Folder I also want to make planners for the Ms Etsy store. The covers would look similar to this tutorial. 2. Obi Apron I’ve been wanting to make aprons for awhile now. And I thought this one would be perfect, it looks like a skirt as well. So it could be worn as one. 3. Sack Boy After playing LBP I really wanted to knit one of my own.  4. Crochet Hearts I can’t crochet to save my life. But I really want to learn how to make these hearts. But I haven’t been able to find any video tutorials on how to do so. :/ If I had someone show me, then I feel that I might be able to learn how to crochet. I find it much more difficult to learn than knitting was. 5. Coffee Cozies Another project I would like to make for the Etsy store. I was supposed to make a bunch of different projects for the store. And I haven’t made anything yet. -.- Bad I know. 6. A simple dress I want to take a stab at making a dress. Nothing too fancy something cute and simple. Like this one from the free patterns.  But I’m not sure if I could actually make a dress. 7. More messenger bags I really want to perfect making these bags. I also I want to actually learn how to do the button holes with my machine. It seems tricky but I’m going to make an attempt in learning how to do them.

Ok so there are a ton of actors and musicians and authors ect.. that I would love to meet. But here are 7 I wish I could meet. 1. Freddie Mercury He is amazing! Why wouldn’t I want to me meet him? He died three years after I was born, but  his death didn’t stop me from admiring him and his music. 2. John Lennon of course he would be another amazing musician I would like to meet. I wanted to put the rest of The Beatles on this list but I think I would be satisfied with meeting John. Plus I have some other people I would like to meet. >.< Such as…3. Neil Gaiman He is one of my favorite authors. And this video makes me laugh so much. I love how creepy he is. XD 4. Dave McKean If I get to meet Neil Gaiman then I hope I get to meet Dave McKean as well. He is so inspiring I immediately want to draw or paint something after seeing his artwork or watching Mirror Mask. He is by far my favorite artist/animator. 5. Keiyu Now I would have put all of Kra but again one member for this list is enough. Especially him he is my favorite member from the Jrock band Kra. He is so cute, I think he is even shorter than me. >.< Such a great singer too. 6. Zooey Deschanel I love love love her. She is so adorable and I can’t wait for her new show to start this fall. I’m so excited for that. 7. Elise Larson..seeing as I really hope to visit her shop. I also hope that while I’m there I get to meet her as well. I love reading her blog. She is just so inspiring that I can’t help but feel like being creative.

I do want my own car now that I can drive. :D But I know I must wait until I can get one, I’m not picky I don’t really care what kind of car it is. I just want one that is small enough for me to drive comfortably and that is safe. So until I can get a car having a cute vintage bike would be a nice distraction. lol I also really want a Fuji Polaroid camera. I’ve always thought that Polaroids were such amazing cameras. The rest of the list are pretty self explanatory, all things I hope to own some time in the future. But first I need a job to make some of these things possible. -.-

Now there are a million things that annoy me every day, I sometimes feel like everything annoys. But for the sake of this list I picked a few things that annoy me at the moment.  Obviously math will forever annoy me, -.- and since I have an eye exam next week it made the list.  Number 6 is painfully annoying. Every time I get one I’m miserable and cry due to the pain. GAH its so annoying.  And number 7 I like to paint my nails. What I find annoying is having to repaint them because they don’t dry fast enough and mess up. -.- So annoying.

This list doesn’t need explaining. I just had to put Beauty and The Beast and Thumbelina in it. Disney and Don Bluth films are from my childhood and I can remember watching them and I can remember what I felt when I watched them. They made me feel so happy and even at 21 I still can go back and watch these movies because lets face it animation is not as creative as it used to be. Hollywood creativity is dead and they just keep reusing ideas that have already been done.  So I’m glad I can return to my childhood favorites and remember a time that animation was golden.

So the only one I want to talk about is froopy which is a word that my dad made up when I kept saying the word frumpy. Kat and him kept saying frumpy wasn’t a real word. So dad then said that I was just being froopy. Which I’m guessing means being weird or something to that nature. But I dunno I just find this word funny because of the story behind it. My dad is so froopy. XD

Fancy Word Wrap

Ok so I’ve been over doing it on the picture front. But can you blame me? The only time I like a picture of myself is when I get to instruct the photographer (aka Kat) on how I want her to take it. Plus I can delete any embarrassing pictures she might see. And another added bonus I get to mess with it in Photoshop.

Of course the only thing I’m guilty of is changing the brightness and changing a few colors…but only because that is all Ireally know how to do. I do also enjoy taking pictures though, Kat is extremely photogenic so taking pictures of her is not hard. Her camera skills involve point and shoot. And that is it, for instance her ability to time the camera just right for jump pictures is microscopic…actually she lacks the ability completely. XD But I still love her because she spends time in the heat just to take pictures of me for daily outfit. But let me assure you that this isn’t just an issue of vanity…its to document my day as well. >.< But lets be honest I felt pretty and wanted a picture.

Oh exciting news, I learned the waterfall braid technique the other night (thanks to this) and tried it on myself but since its difficult for me to see the back of my head it didn’t come out exactly like the tutorial. But it still came out well enough for the first try. I really want to do this style for Mija, I just think it would look really pretty on her.You can’t really see the hair style in this picture but this is what I wore today. >.< I’m really loving this belt. Yes I’m wearing shorts underneath my shirt. I hate when girls wear leggings with long shirts. Yest they are long…but not long enough to cover your ass!!! -.- ahem. In my opinion if it covers your ass then its not too bad. But I’m talking COVER not ride up every now and then while you are walking.  At least have something over your leggings, (layer junkie) this is a pet peeve of mine along with wearing uggs and shorts. -.-;….Why?  Ok so now on to the next thing I want to share, OWL PURSE!!!  I bought a zoo pack a couple months ago before coming home for the summer and I finally converted what was originally a child back pack into a purse! I know it may seem childish to you, but I just couldn’t resist. Its just so freaking adorable, and I love it. I thought I wouldn’t be able to figure out how to add the rings for the strap but I did. And its pretty secure. I also was afraid that it wouldn’t fit in my sewing machine but I managed. And I am extremely happy with the results. I told Kat that if she wanted one, I’d convert hers for her as well. I’m sure the next time I do it, it will be even better. They just came out with a new animal too, its a fox still not sure why they don’t have a cat yet. If they had a cat it would be just too perfect for Kat. Either that or a rabbit?… They have a freaking bumble bee!!! They should have a cat and or bunny already. >.< (ahem keep it cool Kim) I mean I hope they bring out a cat or bunny version soon.

Did you notice the fancy word wrap? Well color me impressed.

Day 30- Finale

Today is the last day of the challenge. I had a lot of fun, yet I’m sad that its now over. >.< I may not have done every page on time but I still managed to complete the challenge. Plus it was a nice distraction, it kept my mind off of things. :)

Today’s prompt was….

A thank you :)  This page is to serve as a thank you to someone who has helped you out, inspired you, encouraged you, etc., specifically during this month.

I had so much fun doing this challenge and even though I was sometimes a day late in posting I still managed to complete the challenge. Being apart of this challenge made the start of the summer so exciting. This challenge also took my mind off a lot of things and was an outlet. It also helped me kick start my creative juices. :D Can’t wait for next years challenge. Hope to see everyone again.

Thanks again. See you next Year!!!
